What’s in your screen reader?
How do screen readers, or other assistive technology, respond to the practices we are testing here?
Many of the quizzes have test cases to go along with them. Everyone is welcome to try the test cases with the screen readers or other assistive technology (AT) they use. Responses about how various AT performs is very welcome. The more, the better. The wider the range of coverage, the better. Watch for the test case link in quiz entries.

[OT] I’m new to your blog and it seems really interesting. so i decided to add it my aggregator (akregator) and it didn’t work. Looking at the feed URL i found that “feed:http://” prefix. It cannot work, it’s not even a valid URL. Talk about accessibility… :P

Is there a free screen reader out there?

Jaws, probably the most common screen reader, offers a free evaluation that is fully functional for 40 minutes per session.
It is perfect for testing.
